Yeah Sonic is a teen 100%, but I think it's more to do with Ben's tone. He lacks the confidence/maturity in his voice. Due to Movie Sonic being immature, etc imo.

Many years ago people asked me about my sonic fan character, and I love Sonic. But i don't have a Sonic character, so one day I said "the next time someone asks me for my sonic character, I will use Dixie Kong", and Dixie ended up appearing in many drawings where he shouldn't be.
