Just to follow up with the values which are one of my main focuses for improvement rn. Could probably manage the foreground/background relationship a little better, but I'm happy with how the contrast is staying centralized onto the focus of the work.

color layer. while it doesnt change the values, hue doesn't automatically shift when value does. also if you try to color one thing with different colors, there will be a lot of places the its the other way around- hue shifts while value stays the same.

It also won't hurt just to keep tracking values though. The one thing I will say is that i don't have strong mid-tones which might be an issue, but the area of focus is way more concentrated on the actual point of interest which is a big improvement for me.
