The second one is a depiction of a Korean folktale. I forgot the details but Korean folklore often starts with "When the tiger used to smoke" (in the same sense as "long long ago" at the beginning of English folklores)

The water bull, called tarbh usige in Scottish Gaelic, is a mythological creature, resident of the moorland lochs.

Capable of shape-shifting into a human, it's more amiable than the water horse, but still fearful.
