Okay, quick mock up, I took the shoulder from my new armor and turned it into all gradients, with a side by side comparison.
Usually items are made with just filling in portions with different shades rather than gradients, gradients cause file size lag and looks odd in game.

my KNY insert mock-design. i know i originally said breath of shadow, while trying to find an un-used breath style. I ended up thinking of using frost as a breath style after i got off work. i might still use shadow though i'm noT SURE.
