I experimented a lot with this one. Usually my doodles are a lot more stylized, but when working off a direct reference I felt I owed it to myself to put more effort into colors and facial details, to mixed results. It comes with time!

Hiccups aside, it's been fun so far!

I think the muscle structure is looking a lot better..

Inspired by 's rendition of my OC, the Chicken Warrior, I ventured a bit and made subtle tweaks to the design. Made his skin darker, his mustache longer, and also experimented a bit with the anatomy.

i experimented and made a “Maki Harukawa Frappuccino”! You could also think of it as a choco-covered strawberry frapp! There’s a blast of strawberry puree at the bottom that overwhelms with flavor at first, which then blends into the sweet frappe. I think that captures Maki well!

One of my goals for is to experiment w/ my art software & find what works & what doesn't. Here in Chapter 5, Page 9, I experimented w/ background details, lighting, & using brushes I'm not used to. Ngl, my story's pretty bloated, so expect this frequently.

Experimented with watercolor brushes while drawing Neon and holy feck I am proud. Unfortunately the skin color did not work with said brushes so had to use a pen brush but I love it!

Ngl if I sold prints I’d make this a print since I fecking love it so much!
