I still play this game every time I am home to my gamecube! The controls feel really good, the soundtrack is bangin, and the avalanche sequences are just the right amount of stressful. An oddball/unique title to be developed in-house by Nintendo, but one of my favorites!

I don’t like picking favorites but I love Mira’s style distinctly more than the other boarders on the show. It lends itself especially well to the action sequences but overall it just looks a lot more uniform/dynamic.

Vermillion Pleasure Night also had some great, artsy, experimental animation sequences. It truly was a "variety" show. I don't know the extent of its impact on Japanese pop culture, but it was special. It's a great time capsule of the zeitgeist of the turn of the millenium.
