how many 70s anime/manga do you think gets traced for these 90s paper doll stickers in my country
Was reading a 90s book collecting comic artist biographies and some of the pictures captions I don't know if I'm missing context or if these are nonsensical
watched psycho diver (1997) today.
It's cursed lmao, the plot pacing is so fast, the characters are disposable, "stuff happens"
one thing I like is the art style, direction and background art (and the 90s hip hop bop). Feels like this is an excuse to show aesthetic.
6.5/10
I like Mine Yoshizaki who only slightly adapted his style to the current standard of moe since the 90s while keeping the essence
the reason why modern also looks flatter despite 90s having similar "flat" looking face might be coz less facial proximity (everything looks more "spread" in modern art style)
also lineart "does" have certain effect on the drawing. It gives old art style a certain texture to it
always thought modern anime looked more shinier+flatter coz they use softer shading + palette.
old anime tends to have more darker shading (esp. in 90s OVA), and color choice tends to be more bolder
doesn't help modern anime loves to spam bloom+blur so much https://t.co/1j1hSkUApa
