Bienvenue Spectrovenator ragei!

Ugh, it's so gross when a fly goes into your ear, even worse if you have useless vestigial arms like , a member of the Abelisauridae group of large theropods that occupied southern Gondwana during the late Cretaceous (70 MYA).

A few close ups, this painting was a really good exercise in texture and lighting, as well as anatomy. Pretty well-developed M. humeroradialis in megaraptorans, which fits with an arm-based prey capture model - HR is less developed in raptors and absent in abelisaurids

Rajasaurus is a carnivorous abelisaurid theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of India. India at this time was an island, due to the break-up of the supercontinent Gondwana. This ambush predator is hunting in a swampy grove of mangrove palms.
