先日、京都鉄博でC56とトワイライトエクスプレスの車両が連結して走っている画像を見たのですが、
魔法のような光景で、心底驚きました。

頑張り屋な性格で見た目以上の俊足ランナー。今は現役を引退して京都で隠居中だけれど現役機の誰かがピンチの時は代わりに出向こうとする(そして止められる) やる気が上がってる時はピヨピヨ鳴く癖がある。
SLと戦争「出征列車」
出征列車とは出征兵士が戦地へと赴く際に乗る列車の事だ。そしてSLもまた赤紙が届くことになる。C56やC58などのSLは中国や台南方面の戦線へ輸送船に載せられ軍用列車として働くが、途中輸送船が撃沈されたり線路が破壊され帰らぬ車両となったSLも少なくない。
