C56 in summer of 1999 saw heavy rain for the first in 15 years. For many, it was their first "Rainy Comiket". Records indicate 25mm (1inch) per hour showers around 9am, so those in queue outside must have had a hard time.

A pamphlet for the Corporate Area was issued for the first time at C55. Portraying Yasuda, then head of the Corporate Area and today our Co-Representative, it has since become a tradition to show a staff member wearing glasses on the pamphlet's cover

At C52, we had to do "anti-rain" preparations for the first time. It was a cold, very un-summer-like Comiket.
Several timed incendiary devices were set off during setup of C54, forcing us to go through the event in extreme high alert.

Starting with C44 in 1993, Comiket started raising donations to protect forests, given that Doujinshi is a culture/hobby that consumes a lot of paper. The tradition of specialized posters started with C45, still continuing today.

With many exhibitions in times of economic boom, reserving the Harumi fairgrounds became more difficult. Being unable to secure the venue the previous winter, C35 in 1989 was again held in spring. This was also the first Comiket in the Heisei era.
