I drew the Prehistoric Planet dromaeosaurs but with the JW Dominion pyroraptor colours!

I like how the red works well with the more cool tone background

I don't like the Terror Bird slander :^( , i enjoy the meme format though. (Wonderful dromaeosaur chart is by Gabriel Ugueto) https://t.co/4hTX5y2rVJ

OF COURSE MY LIEGE.

zyg would be a scolosaurus or some other medium sized ankylosaur because they're probably the most grumpy, stubborn dinosaurs i can think of.
contrastingly, fex would be a sauronitholestes, a small dromaeosaur from the same formation.

Deinonychus has seem to grow a bit in popularity as of recent due to a specific person, you know who you are

Anyway, have 2 deinonychus since idk I haven’t really drawn many dromaeosaurs in awhile

Today's warm-up, a quick doodle of a Utahraptor getting sprayed by a striped skunk, since dromaeosaurs have good senses of smell and vision. A spray from a skunk would be ghastly if hit the nostrils and eyes.

Dino Fact!

Achillobator (Achilles Hero) is a dromaeosaurid from Late Cretaceous Asia! It was relatively large and robust for a dromaeosaurid, but something that really sets it apart from its relatives was oddly, its hip structure! It had a pubis bone - (1/2)

- possibly being the most basal known dromaeosaur! It was also small, even for dromaeosaurs, at 70 cm long! With all this in mind, it might've been specialized for a unique ecological niche that allowed it to coexist with its more advanced relatives! (2/2)

Dino Fact!

Dineobellator (Diné Warrior) is a dromaeosaurid from Late Cretaceous North America! Analysis of the skeleton showed that its hands and feet were much more flexible than those of many other dromaeosaurs, plus its tail had a wide range of - (1/2)

As Darren says, even though this looks extreme, there is some decent fossil evidence that dromaeosaur claw tips really were this long and thin in life. It also makes sense if we imagine the claws are used for piercing deeply and holding a prey animal under the body weight. https://t.co/KagYKR27lU

Lots of people in the comments of this piece are wanting vulturine dromaeosaurs, so I thought I'd mock up a few. Originally wanted to do two Old World and two New World, but truthfully, most variation in NW vultures is not in the feathers, but in other soft tissue ornaments. https://t.co/vGK1gNbeSj
