Sparkys design philosophy is basically a mix of Protogen and Velociraptor. His lore is rather scattered at the moment but hes basically a mass produced item for assistance/fun.

they're like little bird hyenas, and their big toe helps them dig around in the corpses of deceased animals(which is the real reason their bodies are always found next to a big corpse)

Also I believe (it might just be rumors) that Atrociraptor was mean to be Urahraptor but they scrapped it.
Still really sucks since giant feathered dromaeosaurs are just as scary and awesome as jp’s
