On 17 November 1558, the first Elizabethan era began following the death of Queen Mary I of England. Elizabeth I was the last of the Tudor monarchs and is sometimes referred to as the 'Virgin Queen.'

So legendary is Drake, he has his own take on the Sleeping King In Mountain legend. Drake’s Drum, the same drum used on his ship to call sailors to battle, it is purported to beat in times of crisis and bring Drake back from the dead to protect England.
