This old piece was based off a tweet Fujimoto made where he confirmed that the final battle of Chainsaw Man was based on the Araragi vs Kiss-Shot battle at the end of Kizumonogatari.

Fujimoto was definitely referencing Fire Punch here in part.
Beyond that, this is the most damage Denji has ever taken & he's able to keep going. I think that comes down to instantly cauterizing his self inflicted wounds with the chainsaws +others.

One of my favourite twist moments in the series. I love how nonchalant it was. Fujimoto has been drip feeding us Makima final villain clues progressively throughout the story so I automatically felt my self naturally switch sides with them. 👌🏽 👏🏽
