FF9 is my favorite Final Fantasy alongside FF Tactics. I love the character designs + proportions, it blends well w/ the static background/fixed camera. If FF9 remake is real, I'm looking forward to it, I just don't know what to expect. Still, it's nice to have 2 variants of FF9!
Interestingly, Kaela's new proportion is roughly same as Reine's.
I did a simple comparison for Kaela's model. Apparently Kaela's new model has proportionally larger head compared to the more slender old model. Though her height is still same as before, 173cm (5 ft 8,11 in)

@la_bordeliere Although I'm not sure whether this is official data or just an estimate based on model proportions by fans, I've seen this height chart.
MH is taller than Lol Jayce because his body has been mechanically modified.
As for his body and mask, he actually never removed them.
