@cmkosemen (These are all pretty jokey)
1: Where are all the flying crabs?
2: What if the originally "misinterpreted" tanystropheus fossils WERE of a flying animal?
3: What if the elephant shrew becomes the platybelodon shrew, or "shroop"?
4: What if pterosaurs undergo carcinization?
#Spectember but I'm just pulling a whole C.S Koseman on my friend's dog, Meg
Had to d something unique, as the next prompts were for pterosaurs I had to evolve Meg into a pterosaur adjacent and then have that evolve to live on land and sea
Day 3: Terrestrial Pterosaur
#Spectember days 3 and 4! I really love short faced pterosaurs so I wanted to base these on them.
#Spectember Day 4: Aquatic Pterosaurs
In another era where the K/Pg extinction left a few Mesozoic dinos and other oddities to survive as well, new clades emerge to replace the old ones, including derived Pteranodontids filling new Marine Predator niches
Good grief! I just reached 3️⃣0️⃣ thousand followers on this scary website 😱
🎊Thank you 🎊welcome everyone🎊 An opportunity for quick introduction - I research pterosaurs and draw dinosaurs 🦕 for a living. Like tackling & talking about class inequalities in academia. 💐
#Spectember Day 3: Terrestrial Pterosaurs
Such beasts are unimaginable on the Western Landmass, for these Gryphons are the descendants of flightless terrestrial Pterosaurs
These beasts have both wild and domesticated varieties, the latter used akin to Zebu and Banteng Cattle
Been busy working on a commission and here is the final, a #Pterosaur based tattoo design. For this piece I was asked to create a full color scene that included pterosaurs from various eras that would work as an upper arm/shoulder sleeve.

Revamping an old pegasus design! Draconian ponies via combining pelagic birds, bats and pterosaurs. #smaugust #smaugust2022 #ArtistOnTwitter #creatureconcept #speculativeevolution #creatureconcept #dragonart #fantasyart #pegasus #monsterdesign #dragon #monster
Although among the earliest pterosaurs described, in this case by Buckland in 1829, a detailed description of the whole skeleton has never been published, although Dimorphodon quickly became established as important & it’s been widely depicted in palaeoart (as in this Burian)
Meaningless paleo nitpick: I sometimes wish pterosaurs had digitigrade hind feet like their dinosaurian and avian cousins :/
Do you ever wish you could get the chance to talk about #paleontology more often? Use any of these t-shirts and get conversations started over topics like #pterosaurs, #dinosaurs (even feathered dinosaurs!) and evolution.

thinking about pterosaurs again and whatever the fuck they got going on i want that for me https://t.co/8Un6QKTA4T
Amongst the largest pterosaurs to ever soar the skies, #Quetzalcoatlus now makes its home in the Dolomite Mountains above BioSyn Valley. This Azhdarchid is kept in place below 500 ft through the Aerial Deterrent System, keeping BioSyn aircraft safe #JurassicWorldDominion
More work on the idea to trick people into letting me rant about pterosaurs and maybe a sticker idea too
Introducing the Dracoficedula Ceaseria, also known as the Common Dracophage. These nyctosaurid pterosaurs are long-distance fliers with a taste for fish and other pterosaurs on the wing. Males reach about 250 pounds, and are only topped by azdarchids in size.
apparently its #PortfolioDay! I draw dinosaurs, pterosaurs, mosasaurs, ammonites and kin e.c.t but mainly focus on maniraptoran dinosaurs, nyctosaurid pterosaurs and azhdarchid pterosaurs!!!
A lovely diorama illustrating an environment from the Morrison Formation. It features the enormous Brachiosaurus and a few pterosaurs!

Although pterosaurs have made their way in the Garden, the real stars of the show are the Anurognathus or "Wyverns", with a kind of fur, the production of "milk" and an improved parental instinct, they were able to adapt to diverse regions.
