He lived most of his life in Richmond, Indiana, & before his enlistment, did 1 y of college in North Manchester.
He joined the 505th, 82nd Airborne, in august '42 & fought in Sicily, Italy & Normandy.

Pvt Joseph Fitt, 1922, Salt Lake City, a Silver star recipient for his action at La Fiere, he died on June 13.
