Como ocurrió con MetalGreymon y Greymon, SkullGreymon iba a tener una nueva versión en 2010, para Digimon Xros Wars, nacida de la fusión de Greymon y SkullKnightmon, y luego lo haría con Shoutmon X5.

Also I think this is my best chance to talk about this. I get that Skullgreymon is supposed to look like an abomination as to reflect the corrupt way of its inception, but the "pure"/"true" evolution is a red-haired dinosaur with butterfly wings, iron tits and nipple missiles.

Al igual que con Greymon y MetalGreymon, hubo ideas de rediseñar a SkullGreymon para haciéndolo una fusión de Greymon (2010) y DarkKnightmon.
