When you say you can't picture stuff written in books, does that mean you can't visualize vivid images in your head (like seeing & manipulating an apple all in your mind)?

I heard some people can't do that & it's called Aphantasia. Just curious! Love u boss!

Aphantasia is so frustrating. I feel that so hard. I can come up with a basic concept, but I hear it in spoken words rather than see it in my mind.

I have different styles of digi depending on the kind of look I'm going for (doing more of the second two recently).

I discovered today that I have aphantasia. I can't "see" things in my minds eye. "Picture a green heart" I know what those parts are but I don't see it.

I wonder if that affects the type of art I do. Like I prefer seeing what the paint does on the paper and manipulate it.

Art progress! How I’ve developed using Procreate over a year and a half of just drawing things I like on and off.

I still struggle with aphantasia and I mostly use bases, but now if I can picture it I can get it down in a half-competent fashion 😊
