The trick for me is blocking out the main shapes first. I actually color in the main shapes of the shoe and then I add the details. Using references helps a ton. Shoes will have different designs so trying to get the details right away can get confusing

Though I wish it was used more/better, Orihime always had hands. I think the practical application of this in series is when it feels like she comes in clutch with shields, blocking, catching.. There's definitely instincts in her lucky timing/saving etc..
