"And what, you ask, does writing teach us? First and foremost, it reminds us that we are alive and that it is a gift and a privilege, not a right. We must earn life once it has been awarded us. Life asks for rewards back because it has favoured us with animation." - Ray Bradbury

On his birthday, I think we should all remember the wise words of Ray Bradbury: I have never listened to anyone who criticized my taste in space travel, sideshows or gorillas. When this occurs, I pack up my dinosaurs and leave the room.

I ADORE the eerie worlds of Ray Bradbury. In this one he confirms children are creepy as hell and should not be given control of a smart house.

Take a look at this interesting idea for a Fahrenheit 451 “Book Cook Look Club.” What other Bradbury stories would you do for a club like this? Tell us in the comments

I watched a 1972 "made for T.V." movie on Youtube, yesterday called "The Screaming Woman." It starred Olivier de Havilland and Don Nelson. It was based on a Ray Bradbury short story and had music by John Williams. It was a good little fun suspense film with interesting twists.
