still in a passionate doom/ororo mood & i feel like rereading their dinner date in SWORD but it always makes me a bit mad. like why is it that only claremont in the EIGHTIES got that storm being desired & desiring wasn't bad or beneath her, so WHAT if doom's the gentleman caller!

Do you have 4 DC characters youd love to "Claremont" ?
Here are mine.

Claremont actually has this one exiles AU where reedsue are like this separated couple and sue is a villainess in green who wants to CONQUER THE WORLD and Reed’s her hero ex and Val is their daughter and she dresses like a princess like…. Like hello…. Doom and sue are the same

The run on continues and man oh man is this run fantastic. Davis expertly picks up threads that were left dormant after Claremont’s departure and starts putting them paid. Stuff from over forty issues prior is weaved back in and it is entertaining as hell.

The end of Claremont’s tenure on The Nth Man issue is low key gorgeous with Windsor-Smith on pencils. Girls School from Heck is an odd duck, essentially Claremont’s shot at a John Hughes film. It’s solid but not the sharpest of ending for his run.

Happy Birthday to the amazing Chris Claremont, words can’t describe how much his amazing art and work mean to me.

Today is Chris Claremont's birthday which means it's Ororo Munroe's birthday. Happy Birthday to my GOAT. There's nobody like you in these comic book streets 🫶🏿⚡️

It’s great to get this large piece finished. I always enjoy the different mark making required when paintings are upscaled… “Reflections II”, 122X122cm, oil on canvas.

But the second Christ Claremont writes an issue, there's talk of "Mutie-Haters"

Mermaid Saga by Rumiko Takahashi (short horror series from Viz), Excalibur Special Edition 1 by Claremont and Davis, Metropolis by Tezuka (a wild early work) and Super Mutant Magic Academy by Jillian Tamaki (all the webcomic in 1 book!)

Insufficient Direction by Moyoco Anno, Peanut Butter and Jeremy by Jamed Kochalka, X-men God Loves Man Kills by Claremont and Anderson, legend of Chun Hyang by CLAMP....

Segundo día de y vamos con una bastante obvia, que seguro que sale en las listas de la mayoría: los New Mutants de Dios Claremont y Dios Sienkiewicz (soy politeísta).

From the micro to the macro, there is a lot that’s worth painting in this world. Memories of an evening moment at Pittwater…

“The Day”, 122X122cm, oil on linen.

Star Wars Archie Goodwin, Chris Claremont, Herb Trimpe & Al Milgrom 🙂

The scene shows Claremont (often accused of inefficient writing) doing a ton of heavy lifting in the interest of the story, characters, and themes, all in a small space. Of course, it’s not word count that decides efficiency; it’s payoff per investment. 9/9
