There were some grumbling about her online but that was before this whole culture war nonsense.
On Cornwall's Bodmin Moor is the bottomless Dozmary Pool where King Arthur's knight, honouring Arthur's will, cast away Excalibur. A female arm rose from the water, clasped the sword & sank back beneath the surface.
Excalibur lies there still, in the cold, black, lifeless lake.
