The Daeodon, commonly called the "hell pig," was a seven-foot tall omnivorous artiodactyl. Research suggests that it may have frightened off smaller predators to steal their kills. A request from @zacgormania, who I assume feels a sort of kinship with the disgusting beast.

Hanging with the most complete skull of #Daeodon at @UNLincoln's paleontology collection while at #AMMP11. Found at @AgateFossilBeds, this massive #entelodont had canines the size of soda cans. This is, hands down, my favorite mammal fossil ever!
