In the 1950s traded his paintbrush for a palette knife. This allowed “sways & bends on command”. “It swirls like a dancer & stops in a flash when you tell it. It takes a long time to learn how to use a palette knife without scrapping your knuckles against the canvas.”

Save the date, “DeGrazia’s Superstition Mountain Collection” opens on July 6th, 2021! From the late 1940’s to the late 1970’s was a frequent visitor to the mysterious mountain range. The legends, natural beauty, & the native cultures fascinated the artist.
