My first attempt at a value study. I never liked to draw and paint in black & white because I could never get the shades right. But this turned out better than I had anticipated😁
Which one do you like better?

I bought a greytone sketchbook today and had to try it out with charcoals. My goodness, I haven't drawn with charcoals in years.

Also, why does Ignis's default hair have to be so tall? 😅

Great idea Chris! I'm taking on a handful of 11x17" greytone commissions starting at $300 for one character and light background

So my client has the brilliant idea to take my dramatic greytone Marvel series of prints and throw a Deadpool in it :P but also with best boy Peter Parker!

Hey man! I need to know about your workflow. Do you outline 3D models in a program and then use the light casting as a reference? Or instead, do you sketch a line-art paint greytones and use your own light source from mind?
If its the latter, how do you do it?

I think I shared this before but I still like it a lot so here we go again. Savos, painted from a screenshot from Peaky Blinders for lighting reference!

Didn't have the right colors so I just sticked to my greytones.
