A l’époque (2008/9), le tome 5 (ADWD) n'est pas encore paru - et de toutes façons, Rickon n'y apparaît pas non plus.

Mais GRRM leur a alors dit qu’il avait pour Rickon des « plans importants ». Ils ont donc fait le choix de le garder.
