An early conceptual Es was that of an assassin for the Mitsurugi Agency, targeting Ragna. This was rejected because quote: "there are already too many men (& women) trying to kill Ragna".

Konomi Higuchi then finalized Es' look and Mori repurposed this design for Ciel in BBDW.

Kimura's designs were some of my favs just due to the energy in them. And when he was paired up with Taniguchi's directing it was peak content seeing them get so overemotional and wild.
