I painted a little more on this because I wasn't happy with how the rendering on Ludovic looked, I hope he looks better now. 💛
I actually started this piece back in last July, I put it aside for a very long time, and since it crawled back into my mind I had to finish it.

Ludovic's story as a Tarnished was already echoing motifs of the stories of Andromeda and Medusa, so I tied their images together for his character with the posture, the chains, and the symbolds of the shield with the head of the Gorgon and the wings of Pegasus.

The Andromeda myth is very dear to me, and Gustave Moreau's painting of Andromeda, made between 1867 and 1869, has given me an idea of a love story I had to portray.
