...Claremont has chosen Roberto, the second-most visible (well, only other in 1987) Black main character across both of his titles.

While it certainly feels like the logical extreme conclusion of Berto's rage throughout the series, the book's indulgence of the mutant metaphor...

Girl Haven by , , & .

🐰 It's explicitly trans as hell instead of having a subtle metaphor.

🐰 The fantasy elements and worldbuilding. It's genuinely a good work of fantasy.

🐰 Joamette's lettering is some of the best I've seen.

Maddicks doesn't want to save his son from marginalization, he wants to change him to prevent it; in essence blaming the boy's identity for his...

Ouroborus is an poignant portrait of trauma filled with visual metaphor. But more importantly it’s funny as hell

With Destiny's support, Freedom Force beats back the assembling X-Men, until they turn the tide when Kitty fells the woman–just as she foresaw–evening the odds.

America's origin were messy but I personally didn't mind that she "adopted" the latine culture. For me her origin is a metaphor. She wasn't born in LatAm but grew up in that culture so she calls herself latina. Same w ppl who were born in USA but whose parents are from LatAm. 1/5

4. Quartz! Speaking of the sword herself, she is a literal sword that is not a metaphor. Her true body is the sword pictured below which her human form ‘rests’ in whenever she waits for a new wielded/master. Yan is the first time she’s ever been partnered with a man before 😳

Welcome to Shoots, Shrubs, and Shakespeare! This week, we’re checking out Shakespeare’s take on nettles (and strawberries!) as mentioned in Henry V. Nettle is an herb that is urticating (makes the skin itchy), nutritious and therefore ripe for metaphor.

So one frame will just be "display the baby background"

Popularity Poll is such a great comedy arc. I can’t imagine reading this in WSJ, then the author kills himself in his own manga LOL 😂

I appreciate the lesson here with the flower/soil metaphor. That even if others don’t notice you just take solace in knowing you exist. 🥺

Day 5: Jail

"Sink, sink into the very bottom,
Degenerate, degenerate into a person unfit for society"

Idk why but all I could think of was Datsu for this prompt.
In this case, the jail cell is more of a metaphor.

Ode to the dead bird we saw while walking dejectedly to vote in 2016, which in hindsight was a heavy handed metaphor.
