I love that you can see the pencils peeking through in some places. I wonder if the artist just decided to leave little bits of the underdrawing, or if these were added later. Either way they work! For instance, it makes the hair feel less plastic and perfect, more natural!

“Sea Spectres” Another trial with the turpenoid technique! The blending took a lot better here because of the bristol and lack of graphite underdrawing, I think. Very relaxing to draw these good boys.

Couldn't go to Chicago without painting a little bit. Painted this outside Museum of The Art Institute of Chicago. Used watercolor, gouache and color pencil for the underdrawing. Once again thanks to the for inviting me I had a blast.
