Nobody asked but i wanted to talk about it a bit... when coloring im usually think of palettes, specyally formthe underpaint. So that i can make the piece be cohezie with harmony but still have enough hue contrast not to look muddy

Does this make sense ? 🧍

@Deer_Head_Xiris Thank you!!! I use watercolor brush and make an underpainting [all colors in one layer] so it helps harmonize them

Got some flat colors/a sort of scribbly underpainting going on! Wanted the feathers in her hat to match the ones on her queen headdress at the end of the film.

I am SO BEHIND on Combo Smauviangust but have an underpainted ‘I’iwi dragon! I thought about adding jewellery but figured this dragon, emblematic of Hawaiian native fauna and how much of has been lost, was a treasure in and of itself. All of these are small paintings!

Cover in progress. Just juggling the falloff into the pentimento/underpainting. Treating this as close to oils as I know how to in PS.
