Does any other painter capture the windswept look as gracefully as Waterhouse? Here are some beautiful examples for this week's 'Windflowers' (1902), 'Boreas' (& study) (1903) & a detail from 'Miranda' (The Tempest) (1916)

Waterhouse was a gifted draughtsman as can be seen from the marvellous drawings that survive. Study for the Lady Clare (1900), The Flower Picker (1900), the Siren (c1900) & Windflowers (1902)

Oof. Times have been hard, but I finally did a more solid piece of artwork. Did my villager/me for a portrait! Windflowers and hyacinths are my natives. 💜
