#45 Mata Hari
While she had an elaborate backstory about being a Javanese princess, she was Dutch. Being from a neutral country during WWI, this allowed her to travel easily between the borders. Her impact on the war was likely greatly exaggerated due to needing a scapegoat.
@AlexanderBruyns A 2-D top-down Boys' Love game about two stragglers during WWI who absolutely hate each other, but end up having to care for each other nonetheless.

FILM OF THE DAY: New psychological #horror #indiefilm prequel to recent film X, is less the campy gore fest it’s being sold as & more a compelling downbeat period character study with fine titular performance by #MiaGoth as disturbed but oddly sympathetic WWI era farm girl #Pearl
Been watching “Le Roman de Renard” which is a FANTASTIC film. So much effort was put into every single expression and detail, with the melancholic post-WWI influence making the film ever so much better. Also it was made in 18 months in 1929 so like, mad respect.
"Joan of Arc saved France--Women of America, save your country--Buy War Savings Stamps". American WWI propaganda poster by Haskell Coffin, 1918.
“Anyone with any degree of mental toughness ought to be able to exist without the things they like most for a few months at least.”

Spike, a US Army pigeon that served in WWI. Working with the 77th Division, he carried 52 despatches without suffering any injuries.
4/ Annexation of Bosnia in 1908 set in motion series of events: Ottomans kicked out of Balkans during Balkan Wars 1912-1913. Also Serbia angry by annexation of Bosnia. This lead in 1914 to killing, in Sarajevo, of Archduke Franz Ferdinand by a Bosnian Serb, which triggered WWI.

Based on the planes & ships of the time, Diana & Steve's boat would take 2 months to get from Themyscira (around Greece) to London, not one night, meaning WWI would've been over by the time they got there. Even using modern sailing speeds, it would take 2 days at the very best.
