Generally I wanted the claw/talon/dragony/demon aesthetic, while having the purple/yellow. I REALLY love hoop earrings, and I designed the double hoop with gems :) Also, for characters with different ears (where hoops might not be best) I went with Talons!

So what color are Carrion Crawlers in your game? I'm old enough to remember when they were green. I think there was even an 'official' carrion crawler green paint back in the day.

These days they seem to be sickly yellow.

So here are two quick doodles, one with a pure white background, the other with a pale yellow. The pale yellow is dropped, and feels more cohesive than the other. This isn't a perfect example since I chose colors first and tried to match by dropping.

Eco Chao:
