Lodden was designed by and made at in 1883. It was originally block printed on cotton fabric but later sold as wallpaper and adapted for a rug. Lodden has a very large repeat, more suited for a mural than tiles.

You'd rarely hear it called the Colligan Estuary these days but that is what it is. 😀 Here's some nice Dungarvan harbour & boat images from c1828 by artist Sampson Twogood Roche. You'd recognise a lot of it. The boat is a ferry between Dungarvan & Abbeyside. 😀
