I finally figured out how to increase the size of pixel art without the annoying blur or dithering!!
I'll definitely be making more in the future!

transparent bg fullbodies would probably be like 30-35 bucks, mspaint dither icons 20-25 bucks?
agggh realized i was blurring & redithering a bitmap with a dither pattern already on it which was stupid
found the old files and just added some gradients to the original color-labeled shading image and can dynamically dither the image
should've shaded this ages ago tbh hhhhhh

Not sure about how dithering works.

⌛️ I need to dither and animate this.. see you in 459437549853 years #pixelart @aseprite https://t.co/Iwf2PDhTtn
After a lot of dithering, the conversion to vtuber account has finally begun! I still need a bit more time in the oven, but here's an aperitif to tide you over until dessert!
practiced dithering a bit more (open for full image)

Maybe interesting or not to some people, this is my first (flats) draft. I don't have a timelapse or anything, but the process was just:
-set up palette
-trace the major, then the buildings one by one (this)
-go back over each element doing cleanups and dithering
@dragaohentai Slightly. When turning the png into a gif dithering tends to blur out some shading to make for a smoother transition. For example this is the original png of the gif above
I am thinking of a low-res tool that would use dithering as a texture. It could produce interesting art style. This one for example feels like some 3D ASCII RPG.

Messing around with dithering brushes for the backgrounds :P
