GHOSTINTHESHELLの正統な続編で有り押井守が原作の士郎正宗の呪縛から解き離れた一作として記憶されるべき傑作SF。

バトーが中心になった事と前作との繋がりが分かりにくいのが難点かも知れないが草薙少佐が無理に前面に出て来なかったのは監督の誠実さだろう。
