Very proud of this series I did on how characters within the Thrawn novels develop each other
1. Thrawn and Eli and how they changed each other
2. Ar’Alani and her transition from Ziara
3. Samakro and Faro and Thrawn’s influence on them
4. The Patriarch on Thalias and Thrawn

There’s a bit of self-awareness in this question when we note the extent to which Logan’s nobler ambitions often intersect with feminine characters, a consistent character element that makes a lot of sense given the patriarchal associations of primal violence with masculinity7/14

Akio sucks, but he's not stupid. The best way to ensure the safety of his crappy patriarchal brand is to be both the brand (the Chairman) and the means of rebellion against it (Ends of the World.) Nanami explicitly sees and groks this, and still can't quite get around him.

This is how the patriarchy perpetuates itself. Get them when they're young, and make sure they know the rules: that the best empowerment they can hope for, the best means to enact change in defense of their own....*is still a god damn engagement ring.*

pls read her shim cheong/her tale of shim cheong its a manhua/webtoon lesbian retelling of a traditional korean folktale and it dissects and illustrates the way in which the patriarchy operated in feudal societies–how girls r violently molded into fitting a submissive role

Umineko has many great females, but the one I've felt like picking for the post is Ushiromiya Natsuhi, the (initially unwilling) wife of the eldest son of a rich and patriarchal family who always felt threatened by her secondary position in the house, and a proud and loving mother

I recently watched “Promising Young Woman” by director Emerald Fenell and I was blown away. 💖🔥 Such a good movie about our patriarchal society and its consequences on women.

The Prince of the Forest will be some kind of distant father figure Bambi wants to win the approval of, but the movie will end with him deciding he doesn't need to impress some patriarchal figure, and there will be some heavy-handed theme about being yourself or something.

Issue No.35: Women Typically Have About This Much Misogyny Ingrained in Them. It's Due to Our Patriarchal Society. But Men? Men Have So Much More and They are so Much Better at it Just Like Everything Else!
