I try v hard to keep my characters alive, but so far two have died. Epiphany became the BBEG that we all banded together to kill at the end of the Mage game, and Xaveria, well... Got age-drained by ghosts to the point where she's pretty much dead.

My mage Epiphany became a vessel for an evil ancient mage and eventually became the BBEG of the campaign! It was an Innocents game to start, so when she "died" the first time there was a few years gap before she came back... Kind of wrong...

Back in 3.5, I played a wiz/rogue mc who cast unused Explosive Runes on a playing card at night, until he had almost a deckful. Cut to death over glory moment when he mage hands the deck in front of the BBEG and turns it over in his eyeline, quipping "is this your card?"

Knowing you do have a nice repertoire of tieflings, I think this one could fit well. Arcien Yu'Yden is a nice tiefling wizard, who (for some reasons) my players are entirely convinced he's the BBEG. But ain't he a cutie? 💜
