Favorite drawing styles:

1. Inky styles where the brushstrokes + energy is the most important
2. "Blocky," semi-realistic painterly styles (using a flat brush - like Leyendecker)
3. Been really into painterly anime backgrounds as of late
4. Matte painting style?

Haven't done one in a bit so here's a quick timelapse of Carver just hanging out on a rooftop.

I like that CSP let's me record these. I just wish it captured more than just the "brushstrokes." A LOT of the process is lost because you can't see how much I use the Lasso Tools. 🤷‍♂️

Discover Wendy Alber who is featured in issue 16. Some describe me as an expressionist, others say that my paintings are linked to symbolism and a few say that I am a figurative artist.  I am however, still searching the true me through each brushstroke

Some close ups! This was very much a lesson in how to properly indicate things- there's a delicate balance between over-rendering or just straight up having brushstrokes that mean nothing. Huge respect for the artists who do this well, its def something I'm still struggling with!

Gary Phillips’ natural comfort with his medium is seen in his applications of paint, where simplified brushstrokes - which may present an obscure emergence of colour and light up close - become full and complex when viewed at a distance. https://t.co/omRTXsxH4x

1/ "The Big Blue Wave" painting is perfect for wherever you need a joyful statement piece. The soft transitions from dark to warm to light blues, created with big painterly brushstrokes are sure to help you feel relaxed and dreamy in your very own sea of blue.
