Exciting update!
After fucking around with Python for a few days and a few pointers by @JesuszillaS , got my Red Earth GFX Decompression script up and running!
To the left is the decompressed data put in to Palmod and exported as an Indexed image, TVIndustries for the tip!

And now, something that nobody asked for: why is this art so compressed on the GV wiki? It isn’t hard to find on the CN site for the first Luminous Avenger iX ;v;

Just got some amazing raffled gift art from @Bbis_Doodles. Just crazy adorable stuff they are really quite talented and super kind and just awesome :3 check out their stuff if you haven’t already (previous post the images were compressed)

I came up with a new(?) compression-based steganography technique, which should work with most compressed file formats or protocols (e.g. PNG, or even HTTP).

It hides data as "mistakes" made by the compression algorithm. Each sub-optimal compression decison encodes ~1 bit.

CD-i GIFs are almost done.
I'm sure most people will prefer the versions where the colors are barely compressed, but personally I prefer the versions that're limited to the original color palette.
