I think I have a hard reconciling the "functional" aspects of the Wing designs. The EW Wing Zero and Deathscythe Hell being the biggest offenders for me in terms of how far Kunio Okawara went with the designs, apparently he was hot off of doing designs for G Gundam.

Worked on this today in my free time. Learning some new aspects in 3DCoat allowed me to create large cityscape by using the assets that I have created very roughly.

Had a blast while modeling this city in 1-2 hours.

The reason line art is so important is that it gives separation to different aspects of an art piece- even artists who lean more to a painting style use line art! It gives a more definitive look, whereas no separation between elements can be hard to differentiate and look at.
