1946年発表当時の挿画は、猪熊弦一郎氏だったらしい。1970年代には安泰Ver.と朝倉摂Ver.が刊行するも朝倉Ver.は廃版となっていた。ところが今年は朝倉摂氏の生誕100年との事で、なんと新装版が刊行🎊 高額で古本購入しなくて良かった！

1946年の7月29日戦艦長門が沈没しました。

終戦の翌年、アメリカに接収された長門はビキニ岩礁にて核実験の標的艦として2度の大爆撃を受けましたが、沈まずに関係者を驚かせました。
そして深夜関係者に自身の最後の姿を見せることなく海から姿を消しました。
