Now heres a more vintage example.
Y'all might remember Iona Morris as the voice of Storm in the X-Men cartoon in the 90s.
But before that, she was of one the voices back in the 80s. Yep, she did anime dubbing during the and years.

has stood in it's current state since the 1180s. The iconic castle has its fair share of ghost stories, including that of a headless drummer boy who was savagely robbed& murdered-he now wanders the ramparts, sadly beating his drum..👻

Finishing touches on SamQuest's update, it's driving me a little up the wall so I decided to draw something almost completely different this time.

Her name is BB (has multiple meanings) and she lives in Miami in the mid-late 80s. Works as a writer in a videogame mag.

OK, so I LOVED Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. But it's the kind of movie that only could have been made in the "anything goes" decade of the '80s. The closest thing in comparison is The Muppet Movie.

It is a weird weird WEIRD nonsense film and I enjoyed every second of it.

Please imagine:

Live action Neon Genesis Evangelion, but it is a Roger Corman Cannon film from the late 1980s.

Pages of pressed seaweed from a young British girl's scrapbook, 1880s.

Brick Duckbill started life as Detective Duk, a character I created as a kid in the 80s. I changed him to a platypus because there are SO MANY DUCK DETECTIVES. I forgot out fun is he is to draw, though! Maybe he'd make a good rival character.

Did me a quick simple Maraich and Bancoran bc I'm so deep into this ship. The first shounen-ai couple on tv back in the 80s. Are they perfect? Hell no. But man, are they fascinating, and the feels and aesthetic sexy times are real :')

It was nice to draw Blue again. Used to draw her often in the 80s.

She’s resting, for now 💙

Two purple vamp doodles from drawpile. Rava & Vinny, they were in a coven together in the 80s. Think Lost Boys, but lame. Lmao

Ataa Oko was a Ghanaian artist who specialised in figurative palanquin design and fantasy coffin building, before developing as an Art Brut painter in his 80s. Ghanaian coffin art is a modern tradition, and was greatly developed by fellow Ghanaian artist Paa Joe.

The Bellany Family was featured in our gallery 2 exhibition, ICONS II: John Bellany. This powerful piece was painted in the 1960's and has been part of the collection since the late 80s. Lovingly recreated for

The detectives on the outer edge of the Carmen Day sticker first appeared in the manual for the first game. These illustrations by Gene Portwood were reused as design assets throughout the '80s.

Art from the SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE portfolio by Jim Dietz. 1979.

I saw the film during a scorching hot summer in the early 1980s. Scorching hot. All that ice, cold space, those frozen structures, and outside it was 82°F.

(File under fascinating autobiographical facts.)

Transformers Back Box Battle 1984

The one that started it all. This battle scene was burned into the brains of kids in the 80s. The characters don’t look completely like what we got in the cartoon, but the intense battle scene was part of what hooked you for life.

I always figured it was this Dylan poster, but it funny that the Disneyland image is from the 1980s.
