Tried a technique where you draw the lineart on top of the colors! A bit messy but I liked it.

I would say what you've made looks great so far. What has helped me is using more saturated tones and really getting into dynamic lighting. Saturated colors work really well for shading and you can even play around with all colors! I personally use deep red tones.

HMM! I think Smitty!
He is a light head oc- originally equipped as a weapon but regained sentience and adopted personality. Smitty is sarcastic, whitty, silly, a big lanky goof who loves to tell jokes and make others smile! His limbs also extend, and his eye changes colors!

I did search her style and those are really colorful!! 🤩 I don’t have similar sample here but I believe I can match the style as I tend to use vibrant/bright colors!
