Hurricane Ian has made landfall in Cuba at 125mph-Just shy of Cat 4 intensity- after rapidly intensifying.

It will likely lose a bit of strength as it passes over, but could start reintensifying very soon after it enters the Gulf Of Mexico.

Hurricane is in a race against time...the quicker it makes it to the Florida Peninsula, the more formidable it'll be. If it unexpectedly slows down and delays landfall, dry air and shear will lead to its quick demise.
