Here's my part of an art trade with !
She requested for her OC, Life the Ghost-Cat, in Uekawa/SA style! Plus with a Jade Wisp companion too.
Hope you like it!

Though I would've loved a mario game with the promotional material being in the style of Yuji Uekawa's art https://t.co/FhuCkQXohF

A good friend ( Just_a_random_guy_online ) actually provided the initial sketch for this, kudos to them!

My first time doing Uekawa styled colouring. I didn’t do the same for the gloves and socks cuz I want to maintain my sanity. I’m never going to do anything like this again https://t.co/veYr7GhzF4

These are honestly fun to do, you really nail Uekawa's art very nicely! Hope you do one for Knuckles it's fun coloring in your work

I did 3 this time:
Super, Sonic Channel 2020 style and Classic/Mania (yeah pretty cursed I know XD)

I wanted to try to mimic a Uekawa style for my lead character and for my first REAL time attempting this, i Really dig how it turned out! might be a special variant cover if i still end up doing that whole thing lol

Uekawa actually fixed it after it was noticed

this was gonna be just a normal fanart but i recently learnt the uekawa artstyle so

the Short snout, i like how it got shorter over the time. Even Yuji Uekawa changed that

Still getting the hang of my Apple Pencil, but I think this turned out pretty well! 😁

First is SA1 style, while the second has some added cel-shading (like on the spines) like Uekawa started to do with SA2-on.

Which do you prefer?

Haven't forgotten about the Uekawa style!
Still got a few pieces I want to work on!
it's just that there's so little representation for the Battle style that I have to step forward to fix that!
This was actually my first full atempt at the style!

For me I think my big artist influences were Tetsuya Nomura, Kazuki Takahashi, Yuji Uekawa, and like, Flightfootwarrior and contemporaries!

So as a result every single one of my pieces has people doing The Lean™ https://t.co/6SqAVe5GcB

Congrats on 1K!!
A Sonic character who I'd love to see done in Uekawa's style is Razor the Shark, he's a severely underrated character and he just has an awesome design! :D

no LOL i've only attempted this style once, and i've never even drawn rouge before!!
however i think i've come really close to replicating uekawa's style but not really these types of sonic channel arts
maybe i can try this style another day, thanks for asking tho!
