"More accurate" dude yuji uekawa has been drawing him like this for a decade. This IS accurate

When drawn by artists that arent Uekawa, yeah

The way Uekawa used to draw him back then was relatively the same is why

Also, they made his chest pop out to give him more confidence. This is something you can even see in early Uekawa SA1 art AND in Okano's earlier SA1 designs

I don't really know what you mean by trying to replicate Uekawa. Most of my most recent art has been me just doing whatever I like at that time
If you're talking about proportion wise, that's just a preference

I will study yuji uekawa's style because he has too much style and I love his work in sonic.

I know this is kind of a corn plate tweet, but it's genuinely interesting to me that Uekawa used to draw the top quill on Shadow as if it didn't taper into his forehead

Hi weenies can u guys help me gas this, cuz i'm pretty sure these drawings were done by Yuji Uekawa, but I want confirmation first from Satoshi Okano incase i'm wrong.

Cuz my bet is that THESE were Okano's contributions to JAM https://t.co/S2QgvGbF3T

I understand that we can't expect artists to stay with the same exact style forever, but there's a difference between a natural maturation of someone's art, and just a straight up loss of fundamentals. Examples: Toriyama and Uekawa

well the way I did it was by taking 5 art styles that I liked for a unique reason for each, taking said traits, and studying them.
For example: Toriyama is the reason I draw eyes the way I do. Nakano is the reason I draw anatomy how I do. Uekawa is why my colors are vibrant, etc

Not *entirely* true. The sketch itself DOES exist, and was done by Uekawa himself. But the lineart and colors are all new

yeah i can see that definitely. i think these are the ones uekawa did himself

Recent leaks show that Sonic JAM was supposed to include a port of Sonic CD. At some point in development, though, it was scrapped. However, they got far enough to where Yuji Uekawa, the main promotional and cover artist, drew up these renders.

A range of art styles, but here's my top 3:
-Akira Toriyama
-Yusuke Nakano
-Yuji Uekawa (duhh) https://t.co/Zh383pPWHA

Yesterday the homie asked me how I go about getting the Yuekawa Sonic down so well, so I decided to make this for him. I figured I'd share with the world + some more tips

A lot less cursed and even kinda canon (Although, I prefer uekawa blob feet more)

and what's weird is they actually got this right with one of their first attempts! this feels like a much better approach and id love to see something like this that's more up to date with modern technical capabilities as well as the current artwork of uekawa.

🦔This is Yuji Uekawa style Sonic Generations fanart I drew a long time ago.

I redid Yuji Uekawa's art in 3D, part 1. It's not a 1 to 1 copy but I did the best I could.
As you may have already noticed, the model is
