My last 2 artfight attacks for this year. I started experimenting with lines. For manslaughter and FilthyVulture on Artfight. I’m pretty disappointed I had such a busy month this year so hopefully I’ll draw more the next! In the meantime, I have time to draw more of my OCs.

Day 2: Lemon Shark (Near Threatened)

They are known for their yellow-ish color. Interestingly, they are hosts to many parasites

Threats include being caught commercially on longlines. They are eaten in the United States, and Central and South America.

Turns out Rough Animator is pretty blegh for coloring, and only realized after finishing this that I coulda imported to Procreate and done better with that and the lines...🤷‍♂️

Futoshi Nishiya is an artist who's work I have been inspired by for quite some time now. He was a master at expressing lots of detail with very few lines. He may no longer be with us, but I think the work he did in his life is timeless.

I think my favourite part of drawing characters is checking if the shading and highlights bring out the shapes without any colours or lines...
